Hearing now that this kind of tragedy has befallen males in disturbingly high numbers as well is a wake-up call. Too many folks think rape is sexual when in fact there's nothing sexual about it. It's dehumanizing and its use as a tool of war adds to the writing on the wall of a steadily decaying world-society.

I hope all is peace in your sphere, Moon.
-PZPurpleZoehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15194302701364476475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6352843055824836167.post-72668203439542490552009-08-27T08:01:12.896-07:002009-08-27T08:01:12.896-07:00I read this two weeks ago and felt very said for t...I read this two weeks ago and felt very said for them. There is something, I think, that makes us pay attention to a situation of sexual assault more and differently when it happens to men as opposed to women. I think it has to do with the historical consistency of women typically being the victims of sexual assault. When it happens to a man it kind of wakes you up out of your desensitization.

I say all of that to reiterate the fact that women have been victims of such brutality in those parts for some time now and it is unfortunate that things are not improving.adminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02194723367084745044noreply@blogger.com
