Indiefied- Res

Res never left y'all...

Res' vocal texture has so much character. I look forward to seeing more musical wingspreading from this Earthchyle. There are some seriously hot joints on her new effort. Don't sleep.

I bought that first album, at the top, on a whim. I had never even heard of the girl, but saw the album in the store, and something about the way she look intrigued me; along with the description of the album that was posted on the music rack made me decide to give it chance.

I'm always looking for new, refreshing, cutting edge music; especially then when I used to buy quite a few albums, I’d take chances like that.

It was indeed a nice refreshing mixture of rock-soul. I’ll have to go check out this latest album. I need a new hip hop banger right now though.

I think I might prefer her more recent tracks to her previous work. A few of the killer tracks she has on the new effort were on her Myspace page, but it looks like they've been removed and replaced at this point.

One thing I love most is that she is individualized, and unafraid to exist beyond conforming to the poisonous and stereotypical symbols alot of folks have fallen prey to. That means alot to me in any artist.

I feel you on the hiphop.
I would have to recommend Common's Finding Forever.
Most definitely Instant Vintage.

Ice King by Res is one of my all-time favs, and I do have a lot. It's right up there with Didn't Cha Know by Erykah. Didn't Cha Know is my theme song to life, and sums up everything about life, and my life in particular.

So I can't wait to see what Res has in store.
