RIP Tim Russert

Tim Russert, one of America's leading political journalists died of a heart attack today, according to Newsweek. Many are devastated by the loss, having considered him part of the family with 'Meet The Press' being a regular Sunday pastime. Tim is described as an upstanding individual who managed to maintain a certain stature without the pitfalls of ego so many fall prey to.

Amanda Diva's Mother is quoted as saying:
“What is Sunday going to be like without Tim Russert. I mean everyone loved Tim Russert. Ya see that is why you have to write your stories. Because I’m so glad his books are left behind for us to read.”

While Russert was one of the few talking heads that I did not mind and sort of even liked, he still acted like a white guy in solidarity with other white guys,

In an interview, " Russert pressed Obama about whether he accepts Farrakhan's support."

So before we all go off and beatify this guy, he really was just another white guy.

Peace Phil

Excellent point.
Thankyou for coming through and sharing that piece of reality. I honestly wasn't aware. I've watched 'Meet The Press' but am not an avid television watcher, so my viewership wasn't frequent.
