Mos Def Protests Jena 6 Injustice on October 1 via Viral Video

Sending out a Viral Video encouraging students across the country to walk out of their classrooms in protest of the prosecution of the youth who have come to be known as the Jena 6, Mos Def is among the many in the HipHop generation and the few in the industry who have put their actions as well as money where their mouth is.
Other visible figures who have shown solidarity are rappers, T.I, Ice Cube who have provided financial support, Bun B has been active and vocal. David Bowie has also donated 10,000 to the Jena 6 defense fund.

The inspiration here is an example of what can be done with the tools we have access to in this day and age. The age of information and communication makes it possible to reach out, connect, and gather together in the name of unity and justice.
