Lalah Paints a Pretty Picture for Soul Music

Baby don't cry (couldn't resist), Lalah's still looking out for us. Her upcoming album 'Self Portrait' is a testament to the fact. Despite several years off-scene, Miss Hathaway hasn't given up on providing commercial music with the very languid soul vitality only she can give it, and seasoned or not, Lalah is extremely humble as well as flexible enough to regard the effort with fresh perspective.

"I call it Self-Portrait because it's my fifth album but it feels like my first,"
Lalah shares of her highly anticipated return.
