Tsotsi

African cinema gets a nod.
I haven't seen the film in its entirety, but I'm interested in learning more about what's going on in the cinematic culture of the Motherland. Hopefully they won't be riddled with sabotaged symbolism as we've seen people of color subjected to in the states. Unfortunately the word Tsotsi means 'Thug' so the same attempts to minimize the higher archetypal consciousness of African peoples in being done in the homeland as it has been here. Here's to hoping this film transcends the corruption.
