Call For Solidarity- The Search For Latasha Norman

Latasha Norman, last seen on November 13 has been missing for over one week, and it's been expressed by the Police Chief Malcolm McMillin, who is Caucasian, that the lack of attention to her case is likely due the color of her skin. Latasha is a student at Jackson State University. Her car remained on campus but she did not return to her dorm room.
Police say they have no suspects, though Luther Samuel, a campus detective, says investigators have searched the campus and state thoroughly with no sightings as of yet. It is reported that police questioned her ex-boyfriend who was charged with hitting her last month.
They have also questioned her current boyfriend.

Keep the faith and lend an eye.

Indeed. We have a real opportunity to stay in contact and keep one another informed. The news I read the most tends to come from the independent blogosphere and afrosphere.
You don't seem to find anything of worth nowadays in mainstream media.
I hope Latasha is found, and on a more permanent level I hope to see an increase in vigilance in our community where safety becomes a priority, especially where children and women are concerned.
