The Rza Wears Many Hats

Having spent 6 years studying with Quentin Tarantino, Rza announces that he wants to be a director and is writing (insiders say the script has been reworked twice), producing and directing a film named 'The Man with the Iron Fist'. Rza apparently refuses to give details, so there aren't any plot teasers to share, but there are whispers that Martial Arts Master Lau Kar Leung (36 chambers, Master of the Flying Guillotine) may be involved with the project.

In addition to the film, Rza plans to release an album with System of the Down bassist Shavo Odadjian named 'Achozen' within the year.

"We came together because we had a common struggle--his people and the Armenian genocide," adds Rza. "Once I learned about his struggle, we became friends and began talking about different things in life. That allowed us to start making music together. The album is a super-conscious album. I think we've got a lot of good lyrics, but there's also some witty and fun stuff on there too. That's too early right now, though. We can't even put that out there like that." Achozen released their fist single, "Deuces," on April 22 through the website Ursession.com.

Amidst all of this he still has time to oversee Wuchess.com, which currently allows membership at 48 beans a year, unless your a youth, in which case, your training is on Rza.
10 to 20 percent of site revenue will finance academic scholarships awarded through the HipHop Chess Foundation.
