The Souls of Black Girls is a documentary film produced by Daphne Valerius who utilizes the platform to investigate the self-image disorder women of color suffer from, and the media that perpetuates the disorder by subliminally suggesting a standard of thin, European beauty, or that of the video ho. The documentary is graced by the strong voices of Public Enemy's Chuck D, Regina King, and Jada Pinkett Smith to name a few.
