Why is HBO waiting to release a film of this magnitude?

HBO has purchased the rights to Sand and Sorrow, a documentary that is narrated by George Clooney and provides an inside ground look at the failings of the international community in response to the hell that has continued to take place in Darfur.

In conjunction with Blackperspective.net, and Darfur:AnUnforgivableHellOnEarth, UltravioletUnderground is participating in a letter campaign. Would you join us in urging HBO to air this now, rather than later? The Darfuri require resolution now, and this involves exposing truths that prompt mass action.
Please visit the above blogs as well for more information. Your blog posts regarding this campaign are also appreciated.

HBO's contact information is listed below.
It is not difficult for them to air this program without such an unnecessary waiting period.
Please call or write to express your desire that this impactful film be released.

I'll follow up with them and mention this on my blog. Thanks for posting this. I agree they need action now not later. Haven't we learned from Rwanda?
